Herbicide Application Frequently Asked Questions:

Q:  Is it safe to swim just after a weed treatment has been executed in my area?

A.  Yes, there are no restrictions for swimming

Q:  Will the weed treatment affect the fish and is it safe to consume fish caught in the area

      of treated water

A. No, there is no negative effect on the fish and yes you can eat them

Q.  Do I need to keep my pets out of the water after a treatment has been executed in my area?

A. No, the treatment will not harm your pets in anyway.

Q.  Can I water my lawn with lake water after a treatment has been executed? 

A. No.  Please wait a minimum of 7 days before using the treated water to water lawns or other plants.

Q  My water was on when you performed the treatment, will it harm my lawn.

A. If the water is lake water; it probably will not harm your lawn since it takes a while for the herbicide pellets to dissolve, so it should be ok.  However, it is recommended that you turn the water off as soon as possible and not turn it on again for at least 7 days.
